Read more]]> I recently had the pleasure of meeting Jody Johnson, Catering Manager of Black Tie Catering and Events, and had a food tasting with Chef Menendez.  I was so blown away by their food I was inspired to blog about it.  We started off with an organic strawberry cayenne sip which included acai reduction and vanilla bean crème.  It was a delectable combination of sweet and savory with a finish of spice.  The candied apple tuna was as beautiful to look at, as it was tasty.  They have a quantity of small bites for pass around appetizers and of course, go through main courses and sides, and the pièce de résistance for me is always the dessert.  My favorite was the sassy crepe suzette jelly roll which can be made to order in any color.  This company truly loves what they do for a living and it shows in their product.  They also have bar catering, event staffing and out of this world box lunches.  All this being said, Jody was an absolute pleasure, and I highly recommend giving her a call for your next soiree, 310.8643547.

Everything was quite beautiful, and the fact that the weather was perfect made the day so right!  I don't have the photographer's pix yet, and I am right now having my car serviced, so don't have access.  I just didn't want to much time to go by before thanking you for the beautiful bouquets and centerpieces.  The large displays were spectacular!

]]> We just had to make a mention of the amazing bash that "Your Wedding Day" magazine put on at the Ebell for their spring 2009 release last Wednesday 4/22/09.  The place was packed and the decor was absolutely outstanding.  This event featured a number of high profile wedding planners each choosing vendors to create very unique and varied atmospheres, the gamit ran from Bollywood (see our corporate gallery #4) to Marie Antoinettes ballroom, a Cuban garden, and French discotheque.  Melissa Allen from the Ebell was the perfect hostess.  Shirvan provided the florals for Nikki Khan from Exquisite Events, she also recruited Rrivre, Rrivreworks.com, Ted Shred, mostexcellentevents.com, Raj Tents, Royal Events, Nirvana and the one and only Cake Divas.  A huge spread of this event will be featured in Your Wedding Day's next issue.
